The : The best thing to do to preserve vision in glaucoma is to lower the eye pressure as much as possible. This can be accomplished with several different types of glaucoma eyedrops, laser treatment, or glaucoma surgery. The worst thing to do is give up. If your mother has dim vision from the glaucoma eyedrop, as a possible side effect, then please call her ophthalmologist. The link below will provide more information.

See below: The only way to treat glaucoma and prevent its progression is to lower intraocular pressure. This is done with eye drops, laser, or surgery in the operating room. If she has only one seeing eye, she should wear polycarbonate (shatter-resistant) glasses at all times to protect her better-seeing eye from any unintentional trauma.

Difficult to treat: Low tension glaucoma(ltg) can be difficult to diagnose and effectively treat because the underlying cause of optic nerve damage is not clear. We know that lowering the ocular pressure has a protective effect. This can be achieved through drops or office laser procedures. Ltg patients may also be at risk due to non-ocular conditions such as nocturnal hypotension and vascular perfusion problems.
