Juvederm : Juvederm is a drug that can only be administered by a physician or a trained nurse injector in your plastic surgeon's office. Juvederm injectable gel is composed of a hyaluronic acid gel. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occuring sugar that is found in the body, but the hyaluronic acid in juvederm is cross-linked so it is more difficult for your body to break down, and hence it lasts for several months to a year. The product is used to fill in wrinkles in specific areas on your face. By adding volume, you get a smoother appearance. With any injectable product, there are risks including infection, pain, bruising, firmness, and lumps/bumps. www.dassmd.com.

JUVADERM FORMULA: Juvaderm contains hyaluronic acid which is found naturally in your body. As we get older the amount of ha decreases thats why we get wrinkles and saggy skin. Ha binds with water in your body to plump up the skin thus it is great to turn back the hands of time. Ha is broken down by your body over time so you will have to continually need injections to keep that youthful look.

Very compatible : Juvederm is a hyaluronic acid that is similar to that found in our skin. It plumps up tissues and holds water within the skin. Since juvederm is synthesized, rather than coming form an animal, it is usually compatible with our bodies. www.artofplasticsurgery.com.

Juvederm: Is a polymer (a chain of repeating molecules), where the individual building block is indeed a sugar molecule. But it's not a sugar-water thing. It's a naturally occurring polysaccharide that we can now duplicate.

Better: While hyaluronic acid (HA) in juvederm and other laboratory made facial fillers is similar to the HA found in our bodies it's nonetheless synthetic and not natural. A more natural option would be fillers made with Platelet Poor plasma from your own blood and prepared in the office. This procedure is a more natural filler option. I perform it in Miami, FL.
