Jock : Jock itch is also known as ring worm of the groin and is a fungal infection that can spread to the anus. A doctor can typically diagnose jock itch by looking at the skin. The fungus that causes jock itch thrives in warm, moist areas, and can be triggered by friction from clothes or prolonged interaction with moisture in the groin. Self care and otc medications can typically clear up jock itch. Keep the skin clean and dry and don't wear clothing that is too tight. There are topical ointments and medicines that can be applied to the rash to help it heal. Also, jock itch is contagious and can be spread by skin to skin contact or sharing or re-applying soiled clothes.
