No, : No, it is not safe to fast if you are a diabetic. It is especilly not safe if you are taking medication to control your blood sugar. You would be at high risk for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) which could be fatal. See your doctor to assess the swelling in your abdomen. This is totally abnormal and would not be resolved by fasting.

Have it evaluate.: If you mean eating nothing at all, that would not be a good idea. Consult with you doctor and get it treated appropriately.
