It : It sounds like you had a stent put in your heart. You can get scar tissue around the stent or in stent scar tissue. It is possible for this to cause chest pain. The current therapy is for a drug eluting stent to be put inside of the prior stent. If the scar tissue is where the "stmi" or st elevation mi was then that is a result of the prior heart attack.
