There : There are antibody tests for herpes types i and ii. The antibody test will detect whether you have ever been exposed. A recent exposure (within the past several weeks) can be tested/confirmed using igm levels but your exposure was beyond this window. Initial herpes ii infection generally has painful genital ulcers which it sounds like you haven't had.
