Sometimes patients will need to go on messages to "shrink" the tonsils down, such as oral steroids. Concerning.: Your description above “breathing getting difficult” is concerning. Maybe best to inform your ENT physician about the difficulties you are having; it may be feasible to expedite surgery ( if clinically appropriate) for you.
