Keep your lips moist: Avoid stress, sun damage and minor trauma which may cause them to occur. Often a dentist will use laser treatment and/or safe ozone to reduce the virus. You can also protect the sore with either ozonated olive oil or vaseline.

Laser treatment: We use a diode laser to routinely desensitize and treat the sore. It is painless and the patient may feel a little warmth followed by an immediate relief of pressure. If a patient experiences the prodrome or a tingling sensation before the sore fully develops and the area is treated quickly it may abort a full-blown cold sore.

Laser: Find a dentist who has a soft tissue laser and that help you get rid of them fast and eliminate your discomfort.
