Many males have bot h liposuction performed as well as a small incision along their areolae to remove any remaining breast tissue.

Effective: Liposuction is very effective in reducing the size of the male breast. If there is fibrous tissue (breast tissue) direct excision may be necessary.

Less effective : In young male breast where fibrous tissue predominates. More than likely you will need a subcutaneous mastectomy alone or in conjunction with lipo.

Very effective : Liposuction is very effective on male breast reduction if there is no or little skin excess, little stretch marks and little breast tissue. But if there is skin excess or large gland, you will benefit from a surgical reduction which removes breast gland and skin. Liposuction could be used as an adjunct to smooth out the contour, the lateral chest roll or the top.

Very Helpful: Liposuction is extremely helpful from male breast reduction, but often, it's not the full answer. When skin is loose, unstuffing the skin with liposuction ay leave the skin lax. If there is dense fibroglandular tissue, usually found under the nipple, liposuction alone cannot remove it. In these situations an incison is used to either remove the excess skin or remove the fibroglandular tissue.
