I have a runny nose for several days, i noticed that when i try to smell when my nose is not blocked i do not feel the smell could such thing happen when you have a runny nose? is it temporary?

When : When you are congested, it can affect your sense of smell(and taste). Depending on how runny/congested your nose is, you can completely lose your sense of smell. This is almost always temporary and once the infection or allergies settle down, the sense of smell should return. If it doesn't, you should see your doctor to discuss.

Lack of smell: This is usually a common reaction when a person has a cold. It may last two to three weeks and is usually temporary. Not to worry.
