Sometimes: When an individual has a hard time learning, especially in a structured environment, like a classroom, inappropriate behavior can arise from frustration, boredom and anger. Sometimes brain mechanisms involved in learning and regulation of behavior overlap, which is another reason the two conditions can co-occur.

Yes. Specific Learn-: ing Disorders in reading, written expression & math occur only in school-age children who have average to above-average IQ's, smart enough to know they're struggling more than their peers. SLD's impact development of sense of self. Kids' signs of depression are the same as adults', + irritability. Any kid would rather be seen as "bad" than "stupid". Demystification is vital.
