Yes: Yes. A large meal can increase abdominal pressure causing increased hernia prolapse and increased discomfort.

Maybe: If there are intestines out in the hernia, then sometimes eating will make seems worse. You should see your doctor/surgeon for evaluation.

Yes: Usually due to scar tissue from the surgery which can pull or twist your intestines. If your hernia has recurred, it could also be due to bowel slipping into and out of the hernia, especially with more activity during meal times.
