A member asked:

What can i do to alleviate arthritis pain?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Rest: Initially a short course of rest, ice, compression, and elevation will usually calm the pain down. If this does not help your physician may prescribe anti-inflammatories and physical therapy. Therapy may include the use of heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and exercise. Sometimes injections can be used to help decrease the pain and facilitate therapy.
