Stop inflammation!: This is key. You will most likely need drugs of the Aleve (naproxen) type, butt this gives symptom relief only and does not inhibit joint damage. A specialist in rheumatology who can coordinate therapy with your primary care doctor is your best bet.

NSAIDs, BUT more!!!: Pain relievers will help, but it is essential to quite down the inflammation, the main cause for the pain, but also a cause for vascular disease. A rheumatologist can best address the treatment needed.
