What is the recovery time for lingual frenotomy?

Just a quick snip: Most frenectomies are minimal pain and will heal in a few days unless it is a very extensive clipping (rare). It is done to free up your tongue so you'll speak and swollow better.

1-2 weeks : If surgery is done with a laser, no sutures will be needed and recovery is easier. Most patients return to a normal diet within two weeks. The younger the patient, the quicker the recovery. Make sure to follow all post-op directions for a speedy recovery.
