A member asked:

My dad has spinal stenosis, angioplasty work before, and his veins are now sticking out of his legs. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It depends: You present 3 separate diagnoses. Spinal stenos is narrowing of the spinal canal. If pain in back and/or legs is severe it needs attention of a spinal doctor. I assume the angioplasty was of a coronary artery. If he has chest pain, it is something to worry about. Distended leg veins are usually varicose veins and are nothing to worry about. If he has leg pain, try elastic stockings.
