Back fractures. what should i do to treat the fracture?

Depends: Fractures of the back can vary with neurologic symptoms to small fractures of the spinous process. Older patients can get compression fractures of the thoracic and lumbar spine which can be treated with a back brace. Either way the fracture should be checked by an orthopedic or neurosurgeon.

Take it easy: Most spine fractures will heal within 3 months with bracing, limiting strenuous activity and close follow-up with a spine specialist. Some fractures require surgical stabilization and kyphoplasty is an option for elderly patients with compression fractures. Check out spine-health.Com.
