RELIEF AFTER RUPTURE: Rupture ear drum which happens with acute otitis media which is painful when it is acute, but once the ear drum ruptures spontaneously the pain ceases in most cases the only exception is when rupture of ear drum is caused by trauma, which can hurt ti ll healed.
