Ruptured eardrum: How do you know your ear drum is "ruptured"? a perforated ear drum does not cause pain, in fact it ruptures spontaneously to relieve eustacian tube obstruction and fluid buildup. Your pain may be due to Otitis externa or media or a completely different reason, since you have not given us any useful info we cant offer useful response. See an ENT as soon as possible.
