Not recommended: Placing anything in an extraction site puts you at risk for further infection and can make it take longer for it to heal. Call your dentist to see if there is something different you are able to take, such as ibuprofen.

When was your extrac: You should not be needing pain medication for any more than a couple of days after an extraction. Teething gel may provide some short lived numbness. If you are having persistent pain see your dentist.

It won't help much: Unfortunately, the gel is a short treatment option and may lead to an increase in pain later on. If you opt to suck on an ice chip or 2 may assist you better as it will slightly decrease in blood flow to the area and throbbing.
