Can you reverse chronic organ rejection?

No: Chronic rejection can be slowed down and sometimes stopped, but reversal with improvement in organ function is still a goal which we are working towards.

No: You can delay the process but once you have the diagnosis of chronic rejection it is not reversible.

Possibly: There is no simple answer. It would depend on the severity of the chronic rejection, the degree of damage done, if new anti-donor antibodies were detected, the reason for the new graft deterioration, ability to take the anti-rejection medications etc.
