Current state, yes: Hi. Organ transplant in the current state of medicine, yes, chronic immunosuppression is required. Research with stem cells, in vitro organogenesis, etc tries to use tissue with no self determinant biomarkers or the individual patient's self determinant antigens, but we're not there yet. Of course bone marrow transplant where one donates to oneself after chemo is different. Good luck!

Yes: No matter how long you keep a transplanted organ in your body, you will suffer a rejection if you stop taking your anti-rejection meds.
