No: Although some people can stop their medicines and do well, we currently don't have a way to predict who will do well and who will not. We believe that most patients currently need to stay on their medicine for life. If you stop your medicine and develop rejection, you risk rejection, infection, cancer, and death as a consequence of your decision.

No: You should never change your immunosuppressive drug doses without first discussing this with your transplant team. A transplant recipient can reject their graft at any time after the transplant.
