Possible!: Nausea is a common side effect of nearly all anesthetic drugs and of many pain relievers such as morphine, Demerol (meperidine hydrochloride) or vicodin. If you are prone to car sickness, you will be more likely to have nausea after anesthesia. Talk to your doctors about medications such as zofran that can be given during or after anesthesia to help prevent nausea. Good luck!

Depends: Some general anesthetics increase the risk of post operative nausea and vomiting (ponv). For the most part anesthetic gases such as isoflurane, sevoflurane and nitrous oxide do contribute to increased risk of ponv.

Usually not: The anesthesia for wisdom teeth extraction is usually a sedative anesthetic. As such the risks for nausea and vomiting are minimized over a full general anesthetic. You can discuss these risks with your dentist and/or anesthesiologist prior to the procedure.
