Variable: Ganglion cyst of the anterior cruciate ligament is most commonly noted as an incidental finding on an MRI of the knee. If large enough it can cause locking or catching sensation. Transient sharp pain may be associated.

Few: Most often there are benign incidental findings on mri. If they are large enough, they can restrict motion and even less often cause pain. In most cases, in the absence of other pathology, they are observed.
