Very common: A ganglion on the finger is quite common. It is benign and does not require surgey. If you find it unsightly and/or if it is painful, you can have it removed under local anesthesia. The recurrence rate after excision is less than 10%.

Yes: Not personal, but have removed several. Surgery is straightforward. If on wrist can be done by general or pediatric surgeon. If on finger would recommend a hand specialist. Your local medical society can steer you in the right direction.
