Perhaps: If you had all three shots in the series, you should be covered. If you are not sure, you can ask your doctor to check your level of immunity with a simple blood test. If your level is not protective, you may need a booster to bring your immunity up to a level that will provide protection against hep b.

Hepatitis B vaccine: The standard course of immunisation involves three injections at 0, 1 and 6 months. The duration of protection provided by the hepatitis B vaccine is still unknown but is believed to be at least 20 years.[4] It is quite possible that a course may give lifelong immunity. However, it is recommended that individuals at continuing risk of infection should be offered a booster once after 5 yrs.
