Axillary node: Axillary (arm pit) nodes are lymph nodes that enlarge when the body is processing an issue. They can enlarge with a common cold, a infection on the arm somewher (even a cat scratch), and more rarely can be an indication of cancer. Most physicians start with a good history and physical. They may start with a brief course of antibiotics. If it persists beyond a month - a biopsy may be indicated.
