Many, not one.: There are many first choices. Not mine, but the consensus first choice for rheumatoid arthritis would be methotrexate, and a concomitant drug to treat pain from the NSAID class. There are to many other options to give. See someone in rheumatology for the best advice. You can then be followed by your pcp!
