Seek advice...: Localized small infections can be rinsed with sterile saline and dressed with a topical antibiotic ointment and covered with a sterile dressing. Deeper more involved infections with extending redness past the immediate margins will likely require a more aggressive approach such as incision and drainage, debridement, and oral antibiotic. Consult with your physician if symptoms persist or increase.

If you need to ask: If this is severe enough that you need to ask or your decision causes anxiety i would seek medical care pronto. On the flip side you might be looking to treat a wound that is only inflamed not infected if you self treat that with antibiotics you are over treating.

Depends: It all depends on what the wound and surrounding tissues look like. Is small then wash with soap and water. Apply antibiotic ointment and keep covered. Do this daily. If this doesn't help then see a wound specialist for further care. May need different products and antibiotics by mouth.
