Jaw surgery: It depends on a lot of things. But either your upper or lower jaw get repositioned during the surgery. Small titanium plates and screws are use to connect them to the other bones. The procedure should sake from 2-4 hours. Procedure is done inside the mouth, therefore no visible scars.
