No: Pinguecula are elevated, yellow spots near the colored part of the eye. They are caused by sun damage. They are not harmful. They can be removed surgically but this is rarely done.

No harm: Pingueclua are a normal response to wind, dust and uv light. They are the eyes defense in the middle years to these external forces. They have no symptoms and are usually unnoticed. They are not harmful in any way
