I have a small pinguecula on the white of my eye, how long can they last?

Sun damage: Pinguecula is the result of sun damage over the conjunctiva. Its there permanently, it could grow with time and with more sun exposure. Please use a reliable uv a/b coated sun glasses.

Many years: Pingueclua are a normal response to wind, dust and uv light. They are the eyes defense in the middle years to these external forces. They have no symptoms and are usually unnoticed. A few might be large enough to warrant removal. They usually last through adulthood but are no present in children or old folks.
