A member asked:

Does a clear and dark eye glasses with uv protection will helps to treat my pinguecula?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Will help some: A pinquecula is the result of irritation to the lining tissue of the eye called conjunctiva. Sun, wind, contact lenses and air pollutants will aggravate the problem so the glasses will help. Keep the eyes well lubricated with artificial tears. If it becomes reddened and inflamed you should see an ophthalmologist. It can be removed with minor surgery but may recur.
