Thickened feeding: Frequent spitting-up in young infants are most often caused by gastroesophageal reflux. Spitting-ups can be reduced by feeding a thickened formula, adding 1 tablespoon of rice cereal per ounce of formula on every feeding. Consult with your son's pediatrician for further details and other standard care for gerd.
