How to cure food allergy?

Avoid: Unfortunately the only totally proven method is avoidance.Slow efforts at tolerance are poor in results.

No food allergy cure: Many true ige mediated food allergies especially in children resolve with age. There are recent studies published about oral food desensitization protocols in peanut and egg sensitivity. There is no good data about injections or under the tongue drops for food allergies. Avoidance is still the "gold standard".

No cure, but...: There is no cure for food allergy. That said, there are some promising studies improving tolerance to peanuts with gradual increasing amounts but it's not a cure. You then have to eat peanut daily or you will lose tolerance. There is a mild itchy mouth with fresh fruits (Oral allergy syndrome) that responds to pollen immunotherapy For severe allergy,..no cure. :-(
