Been spitting and coughing up clear mucus for 2 weeks now sometimes leave a salty taste in my mouth what's wrong?

Bronchitis: The salty taste to sputum strongly suggest bronchitis as well as other sx. Probably viral. Viral bronchitis destroys lining to bronchus which has to regrow. Not uncommon to have micro leakage of serum which is salty.

Low grade infection: You probably have low grade throat or lung infections. You need to see a doctor (urgent care) and get a prescription of antibiotics. Good luck.
