What is the best treatment approach for renal artery stenosis (less than 50% blockage)?

Its about the future: Renal artery stenosis at 65 yr on x-ray/ultrasound test is from hardening of arteries (atherosclerosis). 50% block not dangerous or worrisome. Its about the future. Athero causes stroke, heart attack, kidney trouble, others. Goal is to slow its progress. NEVER SMOKE!!. Treat diabetes & high BP if you have them. Keep cholesterol low (meds if needed). Aspirin daily if ok w your Dr. Hope this helps
