Urology evaluation: If torsion of the testicle is not fixed by 4 hours, there is a high probability that the testicle will not survive. The affected testicle will shrink over time. Leaving a testicle like this has been shown to have a negative effect on later fertility. See a urologist for advice.

Possible...: Missing the golden treating time window of 6-8 hours is nothing uncommon in managing testicular torsion. Beyond that time limit, the twisted testis was most likely necrotic and dead. If not removed, it would shrink ; become a soft smaller one.
