Trial and error: Eating carrots celery and apples are a good start. Avoid garlic, onions and alcohol. After that try different foods and see which ones have a negative effect. Get your teeth cleaned at your dentist. Do you have acid reflux , if so medication can help.?

Bad breath: Bad breath is mostly caused by bacteria living on the back of your tongue. Some foods can cause bad breath, you should avoid garlic, onions, and other strong smelling foods. Otherwise, you can eat most anything as long as you brush your teeth and tongue after every meal and the food that you ate won't affect your breath.
