Don't blow so hard: You may be pushing nasal mucus up your nasolacrimal duct--this is the duct that drains tears from the eyes into the nose. It's possible to push things the other way, from the nose to the eye. Although you're probably not doing any permanent damage, it would be best to not blow so hard that you're pushing the nasal mucus from your nose to your eye.
