What is the safest way to get an eyelash out of a child's eye?

Wipe it out: Wait until the lash attaches itself to the lower inner lid and wipe it out with some toilet paper you have twirled up into a needle like shape. Have the child look up and pull down on the lower lid. If the lash is not there, try again in a few minutes.
