Mostly: The change is permanent but some eyes will change after the surgery and there might be a little reversal. We call this regression. Sometimes the lasik surgeon can improve this (called enhancement). For the majority the results are permanent.

Yes: Laser vision correction will permanently correct your myopia. However eyes do not stay the same. They drift over time. After you have had laser, you may need more laser if you drift a lot. Most people do not need further laser.

Yes and no: Depending on the starting amount there may be "drift" over time called regression by ophthalmologists. This can be frequently "tweaked" called enhancement or reoperation if the vision shift is bothersome. Sometimes it is present but not noticed. This can be age dependent and is independent of the operating ophthalmologist.

No: When we do laser procedures to treat myopia your vision becomes great! but your natural lens inside your eye continues to age so nearly everyone who has laser vision correction eventually needs correction again.
