Is it possible that back pain to be caused by past epidurals?

Rarely: What came first - the back pain or the epidural? Since epidurals are done for pain, the pain came first. Therefore it is hard to know if the epidural itself is contributing to the pain, since there was a "pain generator" already there. Once back pain starts, it can be important to exercise under the direction of a physical therapist.

Evaluation : In unlikely event of epidural injections contribute to your pain syndrome, you need evaluation to determine cause of pain. Chances that epidural caused it are very low.
