Hard to do.: Normal vaginal ph is 4.0 & unfortunately for women, normal ph of menstrual blood is 7.4 & the ph of semen is 8.0. The vagina is warm, wet & dark & raising the ph invites bacterial overgrowth. The best thing to avoid overgrowth is to reset the vaginal ph to 4 weekly using rephresh, plain yogurt douching or recolonizataion of lactobacilli which fight off bacterial overgrowth.
