A member asked:

Diagnosed with gastritis, and have a large gallstone, how do you know which one is bothering you? pains right side, and back, burping, and bloating

A doctor has provided 1 answer

SoundsLikeGallbladdr: The location and description of your pain sounds like it is secondary to gallbladder disease. These attacks typically occur after eating (esp. Fatty foods), last for an hour or more, are assc. W/nausea +/- vomiting, and may radiate into the back. Gastritis is an almost-universal finding at upper endoscopy; if it caused any symptoms, i would expect burning discomfort relieved by eating.
