My 19-month old son throws up every time he coughs. please help!?

Not unusual: The muscle activity used to cough are similar to those used in vomiting.Younger toddlers may have difficulty separating the two actions & a particularly harsh cough is more likely to end up this way.Keeping the kid hydrated & avoiding meds(antihistamines) that thicken secretions making it harder to cough up phlegm can help.The kid will gain better control as he gets older.
