A member asked:

How deep in the skin do you need to go to remove a corn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Big or small corn?: How deep a doctor needs to go depends on the size of the corn, and how much of the corn is below the surface level of the skin. When a corn goes below the surface of the skin, it is actually pushing into the skin. The corn is dead skin material (that's why shaving it doesn't hurt), and a doctor removes the dead skin all the way down to the living skin layer.
