Eczema: The most common skin condition that is mistaken for ringworm is eczema. They can look the same and develop on similar parts of the body but the treatment is completely different. See your dermatologist for a proper diagnosis.

Many possibilities.: Lots of rashes can be (and often are) mistaken for ringworm. A partial list includes nummular eczema, granuloma annulare, sarcoidosis, lupus, hives, erythema annulare centrifugum, pityriasis rosea, hives, psoriasis, and many others.
