Infection is poss.: This kind of issue needs to be seen by a clinician to be properly assessed. It could be anything from a tooth infection to a backed up major salivary gland. Start with a dentist to determine the cause of the swelling. If they can't link it to a dental issue you may well be referred to physician for further evaluation.
